IDTA South East AGM Lecture Day
James accepting the Vice-Chairman position on the IDTA South East Area Committee from Chairman Darren Kelly
Continued Professional Development is very important to me, both as a teacher and dancer. That is why I attend as many lectures on developing teaching methods and training styles as possible. We are very fortunate that the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) offers a host of complimentary training days for its members across the UK each year. These workshops and lecture days attract teachers from all over the world to learn from industry professionals in a host of dance styles.
One such training day is produced by our very own Committee of dedicated members in the South East Area. A committee I’m very proud to have been nominated onto for the 5th year running. It was my great pleasure to accepted the Vice-Chairman position at our AGM Lecture Day in Addlestone on Sunday 1st September 2019 and I look forward to working with the new Chairman Darren Kelly and the my fellow Committee members. Thank you to our amazing lecturers, members and colleagues for helping create such an amazing day of dance and here’s looking forward to next years event on the 6th September 2020!
“I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with the Committee to provide support to IDTA members in our Area over the coming years. If you are an IDTA Teacher and don’t currently attend any of the complimentary CPD events offered, I would highly recommend that you do. These events are a superb asset to any teacher of dancing not only for your continued professional development, but for networking and sharing ideas with other like-minded professionals.”
