Street & Salsa for the IDTA Scotland
I have to say a huge thank you to my friend and colleague Miss Karlyne Oakes for partnering me for the two workshops today at the IDTA Scotland Area Gala Trophy Day held at the Salutation Hotel in Perth. We had an amazing time teaching a vogue/hip/hop fusion routine to the clean (child friendly) version of a new Todrick Hall track in the morning. The participants crushed the choreography and looked as if they had as much fun learning it as we did teaching it! Then it was over to the Latin & Ballroom competitions. A great standard was shown and the competition was fierce.
I had a wonderful time judging the team challenge competition for social Latin and Ballroom, congratulations to all the teams, you were lovely to watch. Following the adult competitions we finished with a little Salsa workshop for the adults. There was lots of laughter and tangled arms, but the class was a quick study and we were soon flying through the routine. It was a pleasure to be invited to give these workshops and judge for the IDTA Scotland Area at the first of these events, thank you for the invite and don’t forget to check out their next events and my upcoming workshops here
