IDTA South East Area Chairperson Announcement
I am delighted to share the news that I have assumed the role of Chairperson for the International Dance Teacher's Association South East Area. I am proud to have been part of the committee since 2015, working on events for the ballroom branch in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed my role as Vice Chair over the past fours years and am excited to step into this new role as Chairman for the IDTA South East Area.
The IDTA is a very special organisation, and one that I am proud to be part of. My love of dance has been a guiding force throughout my life, shaping my experiences and connecting me with a diverse and passionate community of dancers, teachers and enthusiasts. I am proud to have trained professionals and amateurs across the UK and lectured and adjudicated for the IDTA on many occasions in a host of dance styles.
I would like to thank the Immediate Past Chairman, Darren Kelly, for all his hard work and dedication to the area during his time as Chairman. I would also like to extend my thanks to the rest of the committee for their support and commitment over the years. Each of the committee members are a vital part of the team and bring years of teaching experience and dance expertise to support this vibrant area.
The members of the IDTA South East Area Committee work tirelessly to help promote and support our members and their schools. Meeting various times each year we discuss important issues and organise a number of events annually in the South East Area. Events include area qualifying competitions for the IDTA Nationwide Finals, a spectacular dinner dance (which I hope you’ll all join us for in 2024!) and even an AGM and workshop day for members and their students.
I look forward to sharing more about the work of the South East Area committee and the upcoming events in the area.
